Face-to-face dimensions of flanged valves (ASME)
The face-to-face length (L) is the distance between the valve's two flange faces; two valves of the same series are interchangeable.

- Long / short pattern: a short-pattern ball valve has the same length as a gate valve of the same class and size and can replace it.
- Rows marked * carry a footnote on the globe / check valve column in the source; for these sizes the value may not apply to every valve type — check against the manufacturer's datasheet.
- The Class 300 values are based on a single source; Class 150 is identical in two independent sources.
