Service temperature
This is the limit of the material itself. A valve's service temperature is usually set by the seal and seat materials; product pages give it for each seal option.

Media suitability GENERAL TREND
Emsal assessment. The final choice is made from corrosion tables, taking concentration, temperature, chloride content and flow velocity into account.
Strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
- Stable structure at high temperature, no sensitization
- Better creep strength than 304L
- Good formability for bellows and thin-walled parts
Weaknesses
- Chloride resistance at the level of 304
- Poor polishability because of titanium
- No molybdenum: weak in reducing acids
Manufacturing and use
- ECONOMY
- Low to medium; slightly more expensive than 304.
- MANUFACTURING METHODS
- Thin sheet (bellows) · Pipe · Fabrication from plate and bar
- TYPICAL VALVE PARTS
