Strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
- Better resistance to ozone and ageing than NBR
- Compatible with refrigerants, ammonia and CO₂
- Good mechanical properties over a wide temperature range
Weaknesses
- Not suitable for aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons
- Swells in polar solvents (ketones, esters)
Manufacturing and use
- ECONOMY
- Low.
