Features
03Design
- Body material: usually AISI 316L stainless steel, for high corrosion resistance and cleanability.
- Seal material: FDA-compliant elastomers such as EPDM, PTFE, VMQ (silicone) or FKM (Viton)
- Connection types: tri-clamp, weld, threaded or flanged ends for quick installation and easy cleaning.
- Internal design: smooth internal surfaces prevent bacterial growth in wetted areas.
Operation
- Operated by hand lever or actuator; the disc opens, closes or regulates the flow path.
- The disc rotates through 90° for full closing or full opening.
- Available with hand lever or with pneumatic or electric actuator.
Advantages
- Hygienic design: compatible with CIP (cleaning in place) and SIP (sterilisation in place).
- Easy maintenance: cleaning and seal checks without dismantling.
- Light, compact design: effective control even where space is limited.
- Cost-effective: more economical than other hygienic valve types.
Applications
- Food production: milk, fruit juice and edible oil lines
- Beverage industry: beverage process control
- Pharmaceuticals & cosmetics: hygienic liquid transfer systems
- Cleaning products: liquid detergent filling lines
Considerations
- The seal material must be chemically compatible with the product being processed.
- Use high-grade materials for hard water, abrasive media or large temperature differences.
- Check hygiene certifications such as FDA and EHEDG, especially for product-contact surfaces.
Accessories
04
Actuator
Actuators open and close industrial valves automatically. By removing the need for manual operation, they make processes safer and more efficient.

Limit switch box
Limit switch boxes are used in industrial automation to monitor the position of a valve or another moving mechanical part. They are usually combined with pneumatic and electric actuators, and can also be mounted directly on a manually operated valve.

Manual gear operator
Manual gear operators make it possible to operate large, high-torque valves by hand. The operator turns a handwheel or lever, and the gear mechanism opens or closes the valve.
