Ductile (spheroidal graphite) cast iron

STANDARDEN 1563FORMCastingMaterial no.EN-JS1050Former DINGGG-50ASTM A53670-50-05 (near)

Ferritic-pearlitic spheroidal graphite cast iron; higher strength but lower ductility than GGG-40. For higher pressure class cast iron bodies and wear-exposed parts.

Separately cast sample, minimum values for the relevant wall thickness. Hardness 150–230 HBW.

Service temperature

The EN 1092-2 value could not be obtained; taken conservatively from GGG40. Less ductile, with no impact guarantee at low temperature.

This is the limit of the material itself. A valve's service temperature is usually set by the seal and seat materials; product pages give it for each seal option.
